We are using the Faith Inkubator's curriculum that is also used in Confirmation class on Wednesday evenings. There is so much great stuff we can do different things on Sundays! Karen Johnson and Codi Tiegen lead this class.
Come join us in talking about current issues and relating our lives to God! We have energetic discussions and hands on examples while learning about the Bible. This is a great outlet for youth to form a community and bring issues they want to talk about! We learn, discuss, and have fun! So if you're in grades 9-12 stop by and join us! Christine Butcher leads this class.
Junior High Youth
Friday - Saturday, February 17-18, the Confirmation youth are having a lock-in. We will meet at the church at 6 pm, make dinner, and then start our night of games and planning the worship service for Sunday. Bring overnight stuff and a change of clothes. See you there!
On Sunday, February 19th, the high schoolers are going to Chena Hot Springs Resort. Meet at the church after 10:30 service, we will have lunch and carpool out. Bring $7 if you’re under 18 or $10 if you’re 18 or older.
3rd - 5th Grade
Wednesday, February 29th 5:30 - 7:00pm for dinner, games, and crafts run by Luke Stappler. If you have any questions, give him a call.
High Schoolers, meet at the church on Tuesday, February 28, from 6to 7:30 pm. Activities/Discussions TBD.
Songs, skits, games and small group sharing. This is the new style confirmation program for seventh and eighth graders. They learn the Bible, the history of the Church, the Ten Commandments etc, in a fun and engaging way. They also have service projects, social events and a chance to share what’s going on in their lives with each other. It all starts at 6:00pm the 2nd through 4th Wednesdays of the month. This year’s all Alaska youth gathering includes the Presbyterian, ELCA Lutheran, Methodist and Episcopalian (P.L.U.M.E.) youth from all over Alaska. Youth grades 8-12 are welcome! It is being held at the Little Beaver Retreat Center in Big Lake Alaska from March 23-25. The cost will be $100 dollars plus money for food on the way up and down and for souvenirs. We will carpool down from Fairbanks. It will be a weekend full of great speakers, workshops, and musicians. Please contact Luke Stappler if you are interested in attending.
