Sunday School is done for 2007-2008! the adult class will continue meeting until May 18th! Join us for Vacation Bible School "Rainforest Adventure!" July 7 - 11 ! 9am - 12noon |
Sunday School Opening All children from pre-school age through 6th grade participate in the Sunday School Opening beginning at 9:15am each Sunday. The Opening activities of prayer, a short Bible story, songs, birthday acknowledgements, offering and Bible story riddles vary each Sunday. Children will sing many favorite religious songs throughout the year during the Opening. They will also recite the Lord's Prayer, the Glory Be prayer, and discuss different Bible facts. |

A retired teacher of mostly first graders, Sandy Buhite, is eager to work with the Sunday School children as our Sunday School Coordinator. Sandy and her husband have resided in the Fairbanks area for thirty-five years, have two children and three grandchildren who also live near Fairbanks. |

Preschool & Kindergarden Your teacher is Sally Endestad 4 and 5 year olds will hear a Bible Story from a curriculum series, will discuss an application of the Bible Story, and will work on a project activity related to the Bible Story. Students will receive a Bible Picture Story page and the activity project to take home each Sunday. |

1st & 2nd Grade Your teachers are Sandy Buhite and Kate Butcher Students will hear a Bible Story from a curriculum series, will work in a Student Book with activities related to the story, and will work on a project associated with the Bible Story. In addition to the program curriculum, the first and second graders will learn the names of Jesus' Twelve Disciples throughout the year. They will also study the meaning of the Lord's Prayer |

3rd & 4th Grade Your teacher is Jim Johnsen We are using the lectionary based curriculum, Seasons of the Spirit , published by Augsburg Fortress. The curriculum was just recently developed and integrates worship, learning, and serving. The teachers' manuals include the weekly lessons, resources, music, and resource sheets, downloaded from CDs, for the students to complete. |

High School Your teachers are Todd & Tanya Wimer We will be doing a variety of short studies this year. We plan to do one on poverty and one on prayer and we will talk about much more. |

Adult The History of Christianity We’ll start with the birth of the Church at Pentecost; follow it through its development throughout the world. We’ll look at theological and political agreements and divisions. Then we’ll trace its journey from Europe to the United States and some of the major sectarian divisions that develop here.
